Everyone knows how important it is to a business to maintain their brand online. But, what about your offices, shop fronts, or exhibition stands? If you already pay for a physical presence, it’s a waste not to use it to it’s full potential. You could be missing dozens of potential customers, without even knowing it.

Getting the material side of your business up to scratch will take a bit of investment; in both time and money. It’s fairly easy to minimize the costs, but then you’ll likely have to spend more time on it. This post will take you through some of the ways you can turn your drab space into ad space!

  • Signage

For any sort of tangible business space, signage is a must. Even if it simply let’s passersby know who you are. You never know; in the future, they could be potential customers. Just knowing where you are will steer them in your direction. It will also let customers looking for you know where you are, or customers looking for your type of business.

Ideally, your signage should be as professional as possible. The sign above or next to your door should be a permanent fixture. Temporary banners make you shop look temporary. As a modern take on the traditional chalk sign, on the street; fabric banners provide a professional look, with costing a fortune.

  • Promotional Material

All of your promotional material should be printed at a high quality, on thick paper. This isn’t a hugely costly ordeal, with bulk printing companies offering affordable options. You also need to make sure that your promotional material is consistent and follows a set house style. Your logo should change as little as possible; it’s hard for people to recognize a brand that changes. And, lastly, never use more than one font for a body of text. If you do need to use a different font for titles, so be it. But never, ever use more than two. This may not seem important; but, it’s proven that people will find it harder to concentrate on reading a piece with multiple fonts.

  • Merchandise

What sort of merchandise does a business have? Well, just about anything you can slap your logo on. Mugs, pens, pillows, hats, shirts, electronics, and even furniture. The list goes on. It’s important for the things that your staff use and things that you give to customers, all represent your brand. It will boost brand recognition and make you look more professional.

  • Internal Decor And Labeling

Just like the merchandise, your internal decor, and labeling of products should be in line with your brand. You don’t necessarily need your logo on everything, but having the walls painted in your business’ colors or your own custom labels will go far. You can do most of this yourself, so it will only be the cost of some printing and painting.

Hopefully, this will help you get your business property in order! It’s not just about making it look good; it’s about getting the customer to remember your brand and think of you when they need to make a purchase.
