What Does Emergence Capital Do?

Emergence Capital , is a leading venture capital firm which focuses on enterprise cloud companies, which are at their early or growth stage. Emergence capital was founded in 2003 by Jason Green, Brian Jacobs and Gordon Ritter to invest in the thesis which all three of them share, that enterprise software would move to the cloud.

How much Emergence Capital funded?

 Emergence Capital Partners, the leading venture capital firm, announced that it has closed its fourth fund, “Emergence Capital Partners IV”. The fund was capped at $335 millions, which is a step up from the Emergence Capital Fund III which was raised in 2012. Emergence Capital now has nearly $1 billion under management across four funds. Partners in the fund include highly respected university endowments, national foundations and pension funds which have a long history of successful investing in venture capitals.

Venture capitals had three previous funding.

Series A funding

  • Augmedix, has funded $16 million .
  • Eversight invested $9.7 million on October 7, 2014
  • Xapo invested $20 million on July 8, 2014.
  • Steel brick funded $6.5 million

Series B funding

  • SteelBrick funded $18 million on February 5, 2015.
  • Navera funded $8 Million Series B on October 21, 2014
  • VigLink funded $27.3 Million
  • Top Hat funded $10.5 Million Series B on May 6, 2014

Series C funding

  • Zoom funded $30 Million Series C on February 4, 2015
  • Civitas Learning funded $16.2 Million Series C on January 21, 2015
  • Doximity funded $54 Million Series C on April 29, 2014
