Most people can agree that the idea of working in your pajamas sounds pretty fantastic. Not only can you work in your pajamas, but you can also work while sipping a coffee, or even a Margarita if you really want.

Working remotely doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re on vacation. You’ll still have to work and produce results for your boss. However, there are plenty of perks compared to downfalls. Take a look at some of the best parts of working from home.

You Can Work Anywhere

Even though it’s called working from home, you don’t necessarily have to work from home. In theory, you could work from wherever you want in the world. Although plenty of people like being able to work from their own home office, a lot of people prefer to bring their laptop and work anywhere from a Starbucks to sitting on a park bench working from home allows you maximum mobility.

You Save Money

It costs money to get to work every day. If you no longer get in your car to go to work, it goes without saying that you’re saving money that you would have been spending on gas. You won’t just save money on gas, either. You’ll also save money on things like dry cleaning and lunches.

Eating from home as opposed to grabbing something nearby your office costs a considerable amount less.

You Can Work In Increments

When you work from home, you have the luxury of being able to work in small bits. Not only is it a lot less exhausting to work in increments rather than long stretches, but you’ll actually find you may be more productive. Many studies suggest that working in small chunks results in faster work. Working from home allows you to spend more time doing what you love in between work projects.

No More Boring Meetings

Let’s get this right. You may still have to attend meetings even when you work remotely; however, they’ll be much less draining. Remote meetings require a lot less of your energy. Since your coworkers who are also attending the meeting can’t see anything besides your face, you could easily be doing anything on your desk. You could be sewing, drawing, or even making a sandwich. It’s wonderful being able to attend a meeting but also do what you want with your time.

No Office Drama

Although not every office has office drama, usually people experience office politics in some way or another. When you work from home, you no longer have to deal with some of the challenges that coworkers present. No more chatting in the coffee break room or having to deal with your irritating cubicle neighbor.

It’s just you, yourself and you
