What is next for Drifty?
The new funding for Drifty comes after the company has seen uptake of developers turning to its company, ranging from individuals to Fortune 50 enterprises. The startup is still pre-revenue. It plans to create a different open source model where the core of Ionic offerings are free, which includes the ability to let the developers build and test mobile apps.
Drifty is now expanding its features to include many “freemium” services, which is how Drifty will make money through. The company is currently testing a push notification service, and has visual design tool in beta stage that allows the developers to build apps using drag and drop.
