What does Foodpand do?

Foodpanda, is a global online food delivery marketplace, which enables users in placing orders from their local restaurants through a mobile app or website. Foodpanda also called as hellofood is a worldwide marketplace for food ordering. Customers have to enter their postcodes on the website and then browse for food items from  list of restaurants and place a food order. Foodpanda then processes the order details and sends an SMS from the customers for the order confirmation and provides them an estimated delivery time and sends these details to partner restaurants and the restaurants will deliver food to the customers.

How much Foodpanda was funded?

Foodpanda has raised $100M in Series E funding on April 30th, 2015 from the  investors Rocket Internet and Goldman Sachs.

What is next for Foodpanda?           

Foodpanda is going to use the latest funding for expanding its own delivery services and improving customer experience. As a part of the funding, Goldman Sachs who has led the funding round will join the advisory board of foodpanda.

Foodpanda was founded on April 1st, 2011 by Beschir Hussain, Rohit Chadda, Rico Wyder, , Marko Jukic, , Ralf Wenzel, Giuseppe Belpiede and Benjamin Bauer. It has its headquarters in Berlin. It is called Foodpanda in Asia and hellofood in Middle East, Latin America and Africa. It has partnered with more than 45,000 restaurants worldwide which includes KFC, Jollibee, Pizza Hut, Subway and McDonalds.
