What does Stride Health do?

Stride Health, is a company which makes health insurance human. This is the 1st health insurance recommendation engine which is tuned and tailored to the life of an individual” keeping your drugs, doctors and get apples to apples comparisons of health plans instantly. This startup is looking to provide health insurance to 53 million Americans who do not receive benefits from their employers.

This California startup focused on connecting individuals with health plans under the affordable care act. Its approach has led to the coverage from San Francisco Chornicle, Wired Magazine and re/code and other companies. Stride health is backed by New Enterprise Associates.

How much Stride Health was funded?

Stride Health raised $13M in Series A funding on May 20th, 2015 from the investors Venrock, Fidelity Biosciences and New Enterprise Associates.

$2.4M in  Seed funding on January 16, 2015 from the investors New Enterprise Associates, Fidelity Biosciences and Carl Byers.

What is next for Stride Health?

Stride will open up its services to people who have already bought the health plans somewhere else. The funding will be used for its nationwide expansion. It will use the funding for expanding its mobile health coverage recommendation platform nationally in this year, and for enhancing its year round consumer financial and health guidance and fill key leadership roles in the company.

Stride’s mobile app now enables members in navigating the health plan benefits, locating in network doctors or emergency care centers and find the low cost drugs and more than 50k pharmacies for free. Later this summer most of the company’s services will be available to freelancers who did not buy the insurance coverage yet.
