CrossChx raised $15 M in Series B funding on April 13th, 2015 from Khosla Ventures and Drive Capital.

What is next for CrossChx?

With the latest Series B funding of $15M the total funding to date amounts to more than $20 M. The funding will be used to improve patient care and prevent identity theft. Its goal is to provide a more accurate and potentially life saving info to medical people, and to safeguard the patient against fraud and abuse and enable them with control over their medical records. The startup believes that global patient identity is not only attainable but a fundamental necessity for health care.

With the latest funding, CrossChx plans on building mobile tools, growing its team from about 35-100 and to expand its firm nationally.

CrossChx was founded on June 5th, 2012 by Sean Lane and Brad Mascho.  It has its headquarters in Columbus, OH. CrossChx  ties a patient’s medical records to a single ID. It can then detect any errors in the patient’s records. CrossChx has found that more than ten percent of the patient’s medical records contain identity related errors, such as incorrectly entered patient’s social security number, which can cause many multiple, incomplete records. CrossChx offers hospital lobbies with a kiosk where patients sign in with the scanning of their fingerprints.

CrossChx has disposed in over a hundred hospitals across 8 different states and it has been with more than 2 M patient visits.
