What does OneSignal do?

OneSignal, is a total push notification solution for mobile apps. It makes the job of developers easy to add customized push notification to their apps. OneSignal is also launching support for web push notifications using its Web Push API, which allows users to decide to receive customized push notifications from the websites on their PCs, smart phones or tablets.  It is a complete push notification solution for websites and mobile apps.

How much One signal was funded?

OneSignal has raised $2M in Seed round on April 20th, 2015 from the investors Rakuten Ventures, Justin Kan, Y Combinator and Zach Coelius.

What is next for OneSignal?

OneSignal is going to use the latest funding for hiring more developers and get more users. It is launching support for the web push notification through its Web Push API, which allows the users in choosing for receiving customized push notifications from sites on their smart phones, tablets and personal computers.  George Deglin, the founder of OneSignal said that the company wants to assist all the developers delight their users via the most effective notifications possible. He said the startup believes that all the developers must have an intuitive platform to send effective push notification to their customers, which must not cost them 5 to 6 figures yearly.

OneSignal was found in 2014 by George Deglin. It has its headquarters in San Francisco, CA.  OneSignal was earlier called GameThrive.  Deglin said the startup has rebranded as it is now targeting all the app developers and marketers and not just the game makers.

Currently more than 2,000 developers have signed up for its services. OneSignal’s tools are used in eleven hundred published mobile applications which reach ninety eight million end users. Effective push messaging tools are usually expensive, so developers use cheap options but OneSingal plans to offer an affordable alternative which provides more control over push notifications.
