Refinery29 raised $50M in Series D funding on April 27th, 2015 from the investors Scripps Networks Interactive and WPP Ventures.

Previous funding

$500k in Seed funding on February 13, 2010 from the investors Ramesh Haridas, Marc Mitchell and Jim Yang.

$4.3M in Series A funding on 2012

$5.6M in Series B funding on January 12, 2013 from Lead Edge Capital, First Round, FLOODGATE, Lerer Hippeau Ventures, Hearst Corporation and Eastern Capital.

$20M in Series C on October 16, 2013 from Stripes Group.

 

What is next for Refinery29?

Refinery 29 to date has raised $80M. It will use the latest funding to increase its mission in becoming the global media company for the new gen women, powering inspirational, smart entertainment and to discover tools and resources in different lifestyle categories. The start up has plans of expanding internationally by launching new markets and community buildings abroad and develop its distinguished video and entertainment offerings and connect its tech platform and content furthers to the social and mobile web.
