How To Draw Attendees Into Your Trade Show Booth
Having a fantastic looking trade show booth will draw attention to it, but getting people to come into your exhibit will take a bit more work. In the past, visitors would gladly enter your space to see what you had to offer, but times have changed. It’s not that there are fewer attendees, because there are actually more individuals frequenting trade shows. Because buyers have so much information about products via the Internet, it takes more to get them excited about purchasing goods from a booth. There are ways to spark their interest in your display.
Teach Them Something New
What can you teach visitors when they visit your booth? Many attendees come to shows to become more knowledgeable about their jobs or businesses. Help them learn new tricks of the trade or how your products can improve their capabilities. Offer a free snippet of what your product or service provides. People love free samples and won’t say no to them. Free samples have even proven to increase business!
Give Them a Unique Experience
Turn your booth into a sensory experience. Offer items or events that will engage your visitors’ senses of smell, taste, touch, hearing, and/or sight. Cook something, and then let them taste products. Play music, or have a celebrity in attendance for a period of time. You don’t want to be just a store; you want to be an experience.
Make It Worth Their Time
Individuals who attend trade exhibitions usually fly or drive in from out of town. Because they have invested time and money into their trip, they are more likely to enter a booth that offers an exchange of value. You could offer useful and unique promotional items, give away free samples of your product, or offer a discount coupon for an event or meal. Make your exhibit worth their time.
Trade shows are great places to show off your wares, network with other business professionals and potential customers, and learn a few things yourself. If you go beyond having an attractive facade and focus on learning, sensory experiences, and value, you’ll maximize the number of visitors you have to your booth.
