It offers live data access for app development and recovery by fusing enterprise data management with web scale information technology and eliminating the backup software. This marks the end of a decade long innovation drought in backup and recovery, the back bone of information technology. In just minutes, businesses can manage the data explosion across public and private clouds. This startup has developed a hybrid cloud and on premises backup solution.

How much Rubrik was funded?

Rubrik raised $40 M in series B on May 26^th, 2015 from Greylock Partners and Lightspeed Venture Partners.

• $10M in Series A funding on March 24, 2015 from Lightspeed Venture Partners.

What is next for Rubrik?

The current investment brings the total over r 2 rounds to a whooping $51 M in just 15 months since it has been launched. It has come up with a way for large enterprise customers, 1000 or more employers for solving the hybrid backup problem, especially the equation’s cloud side. It is attacking this problem with a hardware  backup across the data centers on premises and solutions for the public cloud storage.

The company wants to expand its go to market ability and begin expanding its offering with the new funding. The company is hoping to use the money in significantly increasing the company’s markets over the future years.
