What does CyPhy Works do?

CyPhy Works, is a company which develops unmanned air vehicles for search and rescue missions and bridges inspections. The company research starts with humans; it searches places and people where empowering technology is necessary. The company then scours the market landscape and literature to see if any used research can help them get close to helping the people in need.  If the research is no there, then the company does its own research. When they completely understand the opportunity and how they can address it in the best way, they get to work creating transformational technologies.

CyPhy works raised $22M in Series B on October 13, 2015 from General Catalyst Partners, Draper Nexus Ventures, Lux Capital, Motorola Solutions Venture Capital, UPS Strategic Enterprise Fund and Bessemer Venture Partners

 What is next for CyPhy Works?

CyPhy is about to start mass production of its Persistent Aerial Reconnaissance and Communications (PARC) drones. It can fly up to 500 feet in the air and stay there for hundred hours at a time. The company will also begin work next year on the tethered pocket flier drone which fits into the pants and can be sent into dangerous conditions.
