Being Scalable

When businesses talk about scalable, they are typically referring to the ability of any operation to grow and add more. However, when you think about scalability from a tech point of view, you are trying to discover how much more you can accomplish by having the ability to accomplish more as you go. This could be with things such as the internet where you are capable of setting up a router and then having multiple parties access it conveniently. While this used to only be computers, it has obviously evolved into phones, tablets, appliances, and even home security systems among others. While you may not be able to know each and every piece of terminology or lingo in your company, the fact is when you are dealing with your IT members you have to recall that their jargon may be just a bit different from the everyday speech that others use. If you are going to be able to communicate effectively with them, however, then it could be completely beneficial to start to pick up some phrases here and there and know what they are saying as well as show them you are trying as well.
