Cyanogen, is a company which focuses on reimaging the mobile OS providing power to the people to customize their mobile devices and content experiences. Cyanogen’s OS is built on Android and their main product is “Cyanogenmod.”

It is committed to maintaining and managing the Cyanogenmod Android OS. Cyanogenmod is the 3rd largest party Android operating system with more than 55 M registered users over more than 200 mobile devices.

Cyanogen operating system possesses personalized features, which include speed, intuitive interface, enhanced battery life and security.

Cyanogen has raised $80 M in Series C funding on March 23rd, 2015 from the investors Smartfren Telecom, Twitter, Redpoint Ventures, Qualcomm, Andreessen Horowitz, Tencent Holdings, Index Ventures, Smartfren Telecom, Access Industries and Telefónica Ventures.

Cyanogen was founded in April, 2009 by Steve Kondik and Koushik Dutta. It is reimaging mobile computing providing people to customize  their mobile device and content experiences.

The company offers two operating system platforms, Cyanogen and CyanogenMod. It originally touted as an alternative to early Android builds; it had caught up when phone maker One Plus placed the OS on its smart phone worth $299. This illusive open operating system allows users to mod and improves the OS as necessary and offers users a level of customization which is not available in other Android operating systems.
