Instagram to add 5 new filters and slow-motion video upload feature soon

5 new filters in instagram

Instagram just got a bit wealthier, with adding up of 5 new filters, real-time commenting and slow-motion video uploading.

The trendy photo-sharing app that had just hit 300 million accounts, announced that it is adding 5 new filters. The new filters, along with the other new features, are a part of Instagram for Android version 6.12 and iOS version 6.4, both available at present.

For Instagram, adding up of new filters and some other tools for shooting as well as uploading video is a key because services such as Twitter boost their personal photo-sharing as well as editing offerings. Instagram is yet to begin a business model, which is expected in 2015. Facebook that acquired Instagram in 2012 for $715 million is definitely eager to start getting a monetary return on its investment, although it has already collected plenty of profits in terms of new users.

With this release, users will now see a few changes to how the photos are displayed. When a filter is applied to the photos, the filter icons which are at the foot of the screen will show an unclear preview of the filtered image. Additionally, Instagram now allows users to reorganize their filters in their preferred order, which includes hiding the ones they do not like, all by means of a new “Manage” key.

finally, users will also be able to upload slow-motion video and change the viewpoint of a photo.
