What does Zeemi.tv do?

Zeemi.tv, is a new Indonesia based start up founded by people passionate about getting the best entertainment. It’s start was inspired by the frustrating times when trying to watch decent entertainment on TV and seeing live performances. Zeemi.tv was founded by Tom Damek, Lazada Indonesia’s previous CEO.

This start up is entirely focused on Indonesia. It provides Indonesian content from entire Indonesia to Indonesians. The focus is entirely on enabling people a virtual stage and to for providing live performances to the audiences. This Jakarta based  new start up is enthusiastic about entertainment and technology.

Zeemi.tv raised $ 1 M in Seed round on April 13^th, 2015 from Dena and 500 startups.

What is next for Zeemi.tv?

Zeemi.tv will use the latest fund of $1M to increase its growth and make it a household name for millions of Indonesians. The start up will use its seed fund to release an iOS app, for improving its live streaming technology and for marketing.

It has plans to expand into other Southeast Asian markets, which is its long term goal. Currently it is focused on growing its users in Indonesia.

Zeemi.tv was founded in 2014 by Thomas Damek. It has its headquarters in Jakarta. Its content can be divided widely into 2 categories, performers and celebrities schedule shows for connecting with fans and others are ordinary users who broadcast from their life on the platform.

Damek said that Indonesians are very much engaged on soial media, but they are slowly shifting from texts to pics, from twitter to instagram and from pics to videos. So the next logical step is sharing richer content.

The start up differs from others in the aspect that it focuses on local content for the Indonesian viewers and makes streaming accessible on its site.
