Twenty20 Raises $8M in Series A Funding, and Launches Crowdsourced photo Licensing Service


What does Twenty20 do?

Twenty20 is a new stock photography service which has just been launched to the public after many months of beta testing. It was formerly known as Instacanvas and claims to have the largest crowd sourced commercial image catalogue in the world. It contain 45 million photos from two hundred and fifty thousand photographers based in one fifty four countries.

This a mobile photography marketplace which connects the stock photo buyers with mobile photographers around the globe.

How much Twenty20 funded?

This stock photography startup, has announced that it raised a $8M funding in Series A from the investors Version One Ventures, Bullen Capital, First Round and Canaan Partners on February 26th, 2015.

What is next of Twenty20?

Twenty20 wants to set apart from others by taking a mobile oriented, crowdsourced approach to the stock imagery and allow the businesses to find, purchase and legally use photos easily.

With the new funding round, Twenty20 has finalized its transformation from the printing service for Instagram photos to a photo licensing service.

The pricing plans for the service start at $89 per month for ten images and can go up to $499 per month for 100 images. Twenty20 is also offering one-off licensing deals for single images.

These prices are lower than those which iStock and Shutterstock offers.
