What does Wag do?

Wag, is the first app which helps you get your dog walked with just the push of a button. With plenty of apps which are making our life easier, it is time our favorite pet had an app for themselves too on our smart phone. Wag was launched 4 months ago in LA, with a simple idea that when the users do a simple thing as push a button and get their dog walked. This app will allow you and your dog to get what you need out of the day.

When the walk starts, you will receive a push notification which will be followed by real time GPS tracking of your dog’s walk. When the walk is finished, the user will receive a report card with notes, photo, the distance walked and a report of the pee/poo. It is safe to leave your dog with the walker as their background is checked, bonded, insured and certified by Wag.

How much Wag was funded?

Wag raised $2.5M in Seed round on May 7th, 2015 from John Maloney, RRE Ventures, Structure Capital, Slow Ventures, Social Leverage, CrunchFund and other angel investors.

What is next for Wag?

Wag will use the funds raised to fuel its rapid expansion in other major markets of US beyond its current presence in San Francisco and Los Angeles. The funding will also be used for expanding its  product services and offerings.

Wag was founded by Jason Meltzer and Joshua Viner. It has its headquarters in Los Angeles, CA. With Wag app, you can schedule a friendly neighborhood dog walker whether you are out for a weekend trip or have a busy work week. Dog walkers can be requested up to half an hour in advance or can be regularly scheduled and you can track your dog’s walks through GPS. Wag values trust and safety of all.
