What does Yhat do?

Yhat, is a company which has developed solutions to help organize data scientist teams. Graduated from the Y Combinator, winter 2015 class, its founders had a goal to raise $1M to keep growing the company when they came back to New York.  It is a data science technology company which provides tools and systems which allow enterprises to turn data insights data driven products.

Yhat raised $1.5 M in its second seed round on May 30th, 2015.

$120k in Seed round on January 1, 2015 from the investor Y Combinator

$1M in Seed round on October 1, 2013 from the investors Matthew Russell, Prabhdeep Singh, Drew Conway, Will Ballard, Contour Venture Partners, Alexander Saint-Amand and other angel investors.

What is next for Yhat?

The founders of the company had a goal to raise a million dollars. They are a team of 9 and have plans to expand. Ogilivie, founder of Yhat said the company has no plans of sitting still in the wake of Y Combinator, which he called is a whirlwind of activity. He said that the company is focusing all its attention on the business. With the latest investment, Lamp the co-founder of the company is planning to get more office space in New York. It has plants to hire at least 4 new employees in the next 5 months.

Yhat has some funds now to keep it going, but Ogilvie has made it clear that he is in for the long run. He has planned to see the company grow and transform the company into a more larger organization.
