Sensifree, is a company that is a pioneer in contact free, low power, electromagnetic sensors which is accurate in collecting a range of continuos biometric data without the necessity of touching the human body. The company develops electromagnetic sensors. The company is pioneering the development of contactless sensors for werables. It works in close accordance with the manufacturers of werables and has an understanding of real life challenges of the new wearable devices. The company aims at providing sensors which makes werables accurate, comfortable and less power cosnuming. The company’s sensor technology is unique and are making it affordable for the customers.

The company has raised $5M in Series A on May 24, 2016 from United Microelectronics and Translink Capital.
What is next for Sensifree?
The investment round had existing and new investors and an undisclosed strategic investor too. The investment adds to the seed funding raised by the company previosly which brings its total funding raised to date to $7 M. The latest funding will help the company in aggressively expanding its engineering and product development teams, and accelerating its efforts in business development. Eric Hsia, partner and senior advisor at Translink Capital Venture, which has led the latets funding round, will be joining the company’s board of directors.
