Headout, is a last minute mobile marketplace for tours, experiences and activities. It is an on demand mobile concierge which helps travelers book the best local experience for the next 24 hours at a discounted amount. This on demand mobile marketplace helps people find and book the most incredible tours, events, activities and local experiences in town for the next 24 hours at good prices. All travelers must do is just tap their phone 3 times and spend just 60 seconds. Headout combines the convenience of mobile, curated tours, paperless ticketing and best prices for delivering a wonderful experience to the users.

How much Headout was funded?

Headout raised $ 1.8M in seed funding on April 23rd, 2015 from the investors Christine Tsai, 500 Startups, Dave McClure, Version One Ventures, DreamIt Ventures and Nexus Venture Partners,Maiden Lane Ventures, Haystack Fund, Funders Club, Dreamit Ventures, Ludlow Ventures and many other angel investors.

What is next for Headout?

With the latest funding in the seed round the total funding amounts to $3.2M. Headout currently only lives in Los Angeles and New York. The startup is going to use the funds to expand to 12 more cities by the end of 2015. Its expansion plans include the cities Washington D.C, San Francisco, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami and other cities in the next few months.

Headout was founded in July 2014, by Suren Sultania, Varun Khona and Vikram Jit Singh. It has its headquarters in Mountain View, CA.  Headout is is the Uber for tours. This startup was first started as Banglore based Tourlandish and had initially targeted travel to and from Asia. It has later took part in the accelerator program of 500 Startups and shut the app down and relaunched focusing on tours and events in New York instead.
