What is next for Handshake?
As a part of the latest funding, Eric Feng, general partner at KPCB and former CTO at Flipboard and Hulu will join the company’s board of directors. In 2015 the company’s network grew from 5 to 60 universities which includes Cornell, Stanford, Johns Hopkins, University of Chicago, Wake Forest and University of Texas and University of Michigan.
The company plans to use the new funds for broadening and deepening its university partnerships across the country, expanding the network and enabling new schools to implement the system seamlessly. The company will also increase its product development engineering efforts significantly. In short, the company will start providing premium tools for employers for helping the companies target the students, right campuses and build their employer brands, find the right students, and in integrating their college recruiting data with other Human Resource systems.
