Algolia, is a leading Search as a Service provider. It provides a hosted search API which allows websites and mobile applications to increase the conversions and user engagement. Its API returns search results in milliseconds, with an experience of search as you type for the end users.

Algolia provides an out of the box support for every language. It is a typo tolerant which allows easy ranking configuration for the customer’s data set. It enables any developer to build a search engine  easily and quickly and serves more than 4B queries monthly with an SLA of 99.99%.

It serves 600 customers in over 50 countries and some of them include A Little Market, HackerNews, Quiksilver, Vevo, Livestream etc.

Algolia, raised $18.3M in Series A funding on May 20th, 2015 from Erik Swan, Solomon Hykes, Kevin Rose, Lead Edge Capital, Ilya Sukhar and Storm Ventures and other angel investors.

€1.2M in Seed round on October 1, 2013 from 500 Startups, Index Ventures, Alven Capital and Point Nine Capital.
