What does d.light do?

d.light, is a company which enables households without reliable electricity in attaining the same quality of life as those with electricity. This international social enterprise serves people without access to reliable electricity. Its aim is enabling households without reliable electricity in attaining the same quality of life as those who haves access to electricity. The company will start by replacing every kerosene lamp with clean, bright and safe light. The company aims in having improved the lives of 100 million people by the year 2020. Their products are being distributed in 40 countries with more than seven million happy customer. The company is financed by lead social enterprise funds Acumen Fund, Omidyar and Gray Matters Capital, Garage Technology Ventures, Draper Fisher Juvetson and the Mahindra group.
