What is next for FluGen?
The latest funding raised by the company will help it in providing the resources necessary for completing its preclinical testing, and for assessing the safety and immune responses induced by REDEE FLU in a phase 1 clinical trial of the influenza vaccine. It will also help in completion of the initial human clinical trial and for the preparation of a quadrivalent vaccine candidate.
The company has also announces the addition of Mr.C.Boyd Clarke and Dan Stinchcomb as independent directors. Dr.Stinchcomb was the CEO and co-founder of a privately held vaccine company, Inviragen which developed vaccines for hand, foot and oral diseases and for dengue and chikungunya.
