What does goTenna do?
goTenna, is a new device which pairs with your smart phone and enables you to communicate without cell towers. It is an award winning smart phone for communicating without cell towers, satellites or Wi-Fi routers. It is a small rugged device which is designed for making “no service” no problem. You just have to pair your smart phone with a goTenna and communicate off grid with those near you who also have this device, anywhere on the planet, irrespective of the access to a Wi-Fi signal or cell reception. This device allows you to send and receive texts and share GPS locations on the offline maps, without having to rely on the central connectivity.

What is next for goTenna?
The devices was available previously only online for purchase through the company’s website. It has recently announced the device has launched into retail all over the country, exclusively at REI, the nation’s largest specialty and consumer co-op retailer. With the new funding the company plans to grow its team and product pipeline, for meeting the demonstrated demands in new markets where central connectivity usually fails.
