How to Improve Your Business with Visual Media

How to Improve Your Business with Visual Media

Visuals can make a big impact on your business. Photos and videos are excellent to use on social media and websites. Here’s how you can harness visual media to make the most of your business’ marketing efforts.

1. Look for free images for your blog. You can find images that are both free to use and don’t require photographer credit. Or, you can create your own visual content. Then you never have to worry about Getty Images or a photographer coming after you regarding copyright law!

2. Use Instagram as well as Instagram analytics tools. Iconosquare is a great tool that will send you daily e-mails when your current stats have been updated. It will also help you find other like-minded users and it makes Instagram marketing more streamlined in general.

3. Brand your Pinterest account. Add images directly from your website and blog, but also share other user photos that relate to your brand. Think about what your audience would like to see. Also, make sure that the links work whenever you add images from your own site or blog.

4. Use apps that can stream video content to your followers on social media. Meerkat is a great app for this purpose. As soon as you create a new video, your audience will be able to view it.

5. Setup mobile video ads. Videos are excellent for increasing a business’ visibility and audience engagement. The same goes for advertising videos, too. Mobile video ads are much more engaging than banner ads; up to five times more, in fact. You can put your ads everywhere, from your website and blog to your social media accounts and newsletter.

6. Make sure you have a mobile-friendly website. Since so many people get online while traveling or commuting, it’s important to be able to reach them regardless of what they’re doing.

7. Make sure your images are optimized for WordPress. While visual content can be a big benefit to your blog or website, if you have too many images or photos in the wrong format, they can slow down your website. Follow best practices to make sure they’re not too large and that they’ll add to the website’s appeal, not detract from it.

8. Make sure your visuals are right for your audience, whether you’re a business-to-consumer business or a business-to-business company.
