What does MatterFab do?
MatterFab, is a startup whose aim is to change the way the metal 3D printing is done by making the process more scalable and affordable. Its goal is building a platform which can replace traditional manufacturing and going beyond it. It is set to make metal 3D printing better than the traditional manufacturing and reveal its complete potential. The MatterFab 3D printer aims at manufacturers looking to create direct metal production parts out of metal which were too costly or difficult to create using traditional tool machining ways. Doing this it can reduce the cost of the parts and increase their flexibility which can be created.

The latest funding raised will be used to speed up the availability of MatterFab machines. The funding will also be used to invest in engineering and get its 3D printer commercially available and bring it into the markets. the company is targeting the second half of 2015 for when MatterFab printers will start shipping to manufacturing customers.
