What does Plexxi do?

Plexxi, is an affinity driven networking solutions provider, which is pioneering in  the next generation coverged networking company and SDN market leader. The company develops an optimized network that improves the applications performance. The company was founded by visionaries and veterans of the networking industry veterans.

The company’s CEO, Dave realized that networking has not changed since 20 years, as a result of inefficienct conversations taking places within the infrastructure. Thus he created an SDN controller for understanding and directing the conversations. But, he realized that the dynamic software could only work with the underlying hardware so it would change and this he invented the Plexxi Switch, using Photonic switching technologies for bringing an adaptable capacity to a previous environment which was static. The Plexxi Control software works with the Plexxi Switch hardware, which is the 1st and only network which automatically addresses the constantly changing communication among the apps within its infrastructure.

Plexxi has raised $35M in Series D funding on September 14, 2015 from  Lightspeed Venture Partners, North Bridge Venture Partners & Growth Equity and Matrix Partners
