This is a simple and easy to use app and you can request coverage or pick up hours with this app dedicated to your workplace. There is no necessity to clutter your text message stream without any shift discussion threads. With this app you can get your shifts covered, ping your coworkers, check your schedule with a single tap and keep your phone number private.

Shift Messenger has raised $1.5M in Seed round on May 27, 2015 from NewGen Venture Partners, QueensBridge Venture Partners, Venrock, Kapor Capital, Version One Ventures and Golden Venture Partners.

What is next for Shift Messenger?

Shift Messenger will use the funding to add more features which are requested by its users. It has recently launched a website version for people who do not have a smart phone. Workers can now post their shifts online and be notified about the timeslots which need to covered by SMS. A part of the funding will be used to hire more people for the app’s design and engineering teams. It has plans to add individual channels soon in the app.
