What does Signal do?
Signal is an IOS application available on App store. It has released its new version of signal with many crucial features added into it, like ‘TextSecure’ protocol with which you can send messages, video texts, photos and more in an encrypted way anywhere around the world. It has designed a brand new interface that can blend your mobile calls or messages very faster, also added Achieve feature that focuses on the important data to be shared.
Why do we need Signal?
We have two applications available on the Android store, for the people who want to share their sensitive information to their friends. They are textSecure and RedPhone. TextSecure is used to send texts securely and RedPhone is used to encrypt your mobile calls. But siganl’s new version has both the above features included in one IOS application, which is now planning to develop this application on Android.
What made Signal stand out from others?
We have many tools and applications available for the purpose of encryption like CryptoCat, iMessage and more to protect your information. But signal seven electronic criteria’s included for security on its score card of secure messaging. The code of Signal is an open source, through which any can visit ‘GitHub’ and make use of the code to develop encrypted applications.
