VitalFields, is a farm management startup, which provides a simple overview of what is happening in your field, field location and crops, work done and planned, harvest ready forecast, cost per hectare etc.  It is a modern easy to use tool for managing your farm, provides field level weather forecasting, plant disease forecasting and farm stock keeping system. It is your personal weather forecast for all your fields. This  startup takes data from the best weather forecasters and presents a field based estimates. It bridges knowledge gaps so farmers can produce more.

How much VitalFields was funded?

VitalFields raised $1.2M in Series A funding on May 27, 2015 from Estonian Development Fund and SmartCap AS.

  • €500k in Seed funding on January 7, 2014 from Wiser Financial Advisors, SmartCap AS, TMT Investments, Ahti Heinla, Andres Kull and Arvi Tavast

What is next for VitalFields?

VitalFields plans to use the funding for further development and boosting its presence across Europe. It has recently launched the VitalFields app for machine operators and field workers to end the paperwork in agricultural business. The latest funding to this farm management startup comes at a time when there has been a huge funding activity in the agriculture tech space.

What is next for VitalFields?

VitalFields was founded on March 1, 2012 by Vahur Meus, Martin Rand. It has its headquarters in Tallinn. It currently operates in Ukraine, Estonia, Poland and Germany. Initially this was described as agricultural early warning system. It is a classic SaaS play, which has replaced the large, paper based way of agricultural business and the costly software and tools which were necessary for the job getting done. It offers a cloud based software and accompanies mobile apps for helping farmers do things such as growth phase and plant disease modeling, tracking climate patterns and farm management related activities such as stock management, farm planning etc.
