What does Wonder Workshop do?

Wonder Workshop, is a platform which makes programming fun and accessible for children while they play. It teaches children to code by integrating cutting edge software and hardware experiences. The firm’s first products are beautifully designed robots- Dash&Dot, that children can program using mobile devices.

Wonder Workshop has a team of hardware and software designers, educators, engineers and business leaders who are focused on developing mobile apps for Dash&Dot. Founders of this firm come from Amazon, Google, Apple and Frog Design who blend their backgrounds to create cohesive multi-platform experiences. They have starter their API to the world so that anyone can create an app to use with their robots.

Wonder Workshop raised $6.9M in Series A funding on May 5th, 2015 from Vikas Gupta, Maven Ventures, Bright Success Capital, CRV, WI Harper Group and Madrona Venture Group.

What is next for Wonder Workshop?

Wonder Workshop’s latest funding brings its total funding to $15.9 M. It will use the funding to continue to expand to new markets, develop manufacturing and strategic business channels.  It is delighted to have partnered with Vikas and team to create fund and delightful products which helps children to learn to code.

Since its launch, Dash&Dot have appeared at the White House for the National Hour of Code. It has been widely adopted in the classrooms around the country and has provided over 75K hours of entertainment and fun to kids globally.
