WorldViz Raises undisclosed amount in Series A Funding

With billions of dollars behind commoditizing Virtual Reality hardwares like Sony Project Morpheus, Oculus Rift, the virtual reality industry is at the verge of explosion. The swiftly increasing numbers of virtual reality users, there is  huge demand for 3D applications and need for software standards.

WorldViz, the company that powers virtual reality, today announced that it has raised an undisclosed amount in Series A funding from Intel Capital, Intel’s global investment organization. The funding shall be used for advancing the distribution and development of WorldViz’s virtual reality apps for enterprises.

Intel and WorldViz are going to work together for developing scientific and industrial virtual reality offering integrated with the Intel Computing frameworks and for providing virtual reality platform technologies for the rapidly growing developers who need dedicated tools for creating immersive content.
