What does Honk do?
Honk is a simple free app that connects distressed roadside passengers. It is a free mobile application that connects stranded passengers in need of a tire change, tow, jump start or fuel problems etc. and lets them to connect 24×7, 365 days a year to more than 20000 tow trucks that provide the necessary services throughout the country.
With a large number of tow trucks available at demand, they provide great roadside assistance and with years of experience just at the click of the application. The other supreme feature of Honk that separates it from other major auto clubs is that the ETA is less than 15-20 minutes.
Since its launch Honk has become of the largest fleet in the States providing hassle free service in just a blink with very less ETA.
How much was Honk funded?
Honk was funded $12 million in Series A funding with funds from investors Structure Capital, Altpoint Ventures, Karlin Ventures, Venture 51, and Expansion Venture Capital on the 26th March 2015.
Previous Funding:
In a spate of double seed funding on the November 19, 2014 Honk was able to raise $500k and $1.3 million with investments from Venture 51, Karlin Ventures, Expansion Ventures, Double M Partners, and Rick Marini.
What is next for Honk?
With the new round of funding taking Honk’s total funding to about $13.8 million it hopes to further expand its already good roadside
assistance to a multi million dollar industry through improving its service. Honk’s “guaranteed never to exceed prices “and nominal $49 membership fees aim to create a viable alternative to the outdated motor clubs.
