Seismos Inc Raises $4M

What does Seismos do?

Seismos, also called as the K-wave Company, is a data analytics startup for production optimization providing nostrum solutions enabling real time, underground fluid flow monitoring, during production inside the reservoir. It monitors fluid movement with customary seismic technologies requires months to process data and acquisition and disrupt the production and costs millions.

It breaks this prototype and solves all issues linked with traditional methods by giving real time info, at a very low cost, through its cloud based K-wave technology which non-invasive to production and to surface operations. Seismos has a licence agreement with Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory for all its K-wave related apps and associated patent portfolio.

How much Seismos was funded?

Seismos Inc. raises $4 M in series funding on April 8th, 2015 from the investors Osage University Partners and Javelin Venture Partners.

What is next for Seismos?

Seismos the leading provides of fluid flow monitoring for gas and oil production optimization, has raised $4 M in Series A secured funding to support its market rollout and for enhancing its efforts in product development.

More about Seismos

Seismos, was founded in 2012 by Panos Adamopoulos and has its headquarters in Austin, TX.

Seismos primary focus is on the carbon dioxide enhanced oil recovery market where producers have practically no or a cost effective method way to track the underground carbon dioxide flows during production operations. This will lead to loss of at least half of injected carbon dioxide, the largest operating cost component during production and a contributor to big chance cost of unrecovered oil resources.

Seismos, is headquartered in Austin, Texas, along with offices in Houston, is a well recognized for its advances in improvement of real time fluid flow monitoring for increasing oil recovery.

Its technology features a product suite to service hydraulic carbon dioxide sequestration solutions, hydraulic fracturing optimization and other applications where gas and oil industry is in search of innovative solutions for solving huge businesses and operating performance challenges.
